This week we have been without Mark as he has been away on pilgrimage at Monte Cassino. We have been keeping up with his updates and remembering him in our prayers as we have continued with the day to day life of the community.
On Tuesday we started our first new initiative, Bingo. We are running it every fortnight between 2.30 and 3.30 and we had a fairly good turn out to our first week. We quickly got the hang of calling and using the machine and managed to not laugh too much at some of the more ridiculous calls. All seemed to have a good time and seemed keen to come again and gave us pointers as to where we could advertise it further.
We have also been busy planning our Superhero Party; an alternative Halloween party which we are holding in the Priory Centre, 5.30-7pm for kids aged 6-11. I’m really excited for this as it gives us a good opportunity to build links with the kids and their parents. We have lots of fun and games planned so if you know anyone with kids who would be interested do please invite them.
Sunday was our first All Age Eucharist service. Fr Mark was leading it and Amy preached, and she will fill you in on how it went in the next blog post. Our daily rhythm of prayer is coming more naturally now and we are both enjoying it and feeling built up by it. Our days are a lot quieter too currently as activity on site calms down for the winter we are spending a lot more time at the house planning things and working on projects for the churches in the parish.
If you would like us to remember you or anyone else in prayer or have any questions for us then please email us on: email@example.com
Thats all from us for this week.
Now to God who is able to do infinitely more than we could imagine or ask be glory and praise forever. Amen
