Lent is going to be a time of giving up as well as taking extra on for us as a Community. All of us are doing ‘the Fast’ in a different way. Our Prior is going on a Daniel Diet for ten days (taking only vegan food and water). Some of the lay members are also going vegetarian.

Br Michael, with the rest of the Community, will lead a house group on Monday as part of the town’s Ecumenical Study of the film Les Miserables. Sr Amy & Br Adrian will speak about the Monastic Life as part of a Lent Course on Prayer in the Magor Ministry Area.
We are all very much looking forward to our Week of Mission in Merthyr Tydfil during the second week of March – more news on this to follow. The following week, we go on Retreat with our Episcopal Visitor – we are looking forward to being back at Llangasty again.
For our Lent Study we are going to be journeying with Abraham, with the help of a book written by Meg Warner, a Visiting Lecturer at King’s College, London.
Along with the Parish we will spend Sunday evenings looking at the Five Anglican Marks of Mission and sharing in worship on Wednesday night with our Roman Catholic brothers and sisters.
We hope that you may find a deeper relationship with Christ this Lenten time as you prepare to commemorate his death and resurrection.
