A New Year in the Community

Hello all,

We hope you’ve all had a wonderful Christmas and a good New Year. Having just returned from a week of rest, we are now getting back into the swing of things, and getting back into the daily grind..!

The end of last year was a very enjoyable one, which kept us very busy, from carolling in care homes to a walking nativity. It was great to share the gospel in the street to so many of the residents of Abergavenny. There will be another Church without walls even on Ash Wednesday, more details are to follow on that.

We’ve got lots coming up. The first of which is the Mass for Epiphany which is taking place on Friday 6th January (this Friday!) at 6.30pm, we hope to see many of you there!

Also, little footprints starts again next Tuesday 10th January, we look forward to seeing the mothers and toddlers there again!

On Saturday 14th January, there is an exhibit on Angels opening in St Mary’s. This will include a leaflet created by Sr Jennii about misconceptions about Angels. This should be a thoroughly interesting exhibit and we highly recommend you go to see it while it’s there!

The final thing to mention is that we are currently looking to extend out ministry with children. We have ideas about how to do this, but we really want to hear from kids about if they are looking for anything, and if they are, what that would be. If any of you have kids who would like us to extend our ministry to them, could you send us ideas about what interests them to community@stmarys-priory.org.

Many thanks and we look forward to seeing you around!

Best wishes

Br Simon and Sr Jennii
